Our small OPG Hum, located in the far north of Istria, nurtures the tradition of beekeeping and olive growing with a lot of love and attention, believing that health comes from nature.
We have been engaged in beekeeping for four generations, passing on knowledge and skills from generation to generation. Our apiaries, located in the heart of untouched nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the city and pollution, produce top-quality honey - rich in the flavors of Istrian meadows and forests.
On the gentle southern slopes, on marly soil bathed in the sun, grows our olive grove - one of the northernmost in Istria. Today, the olive grove has about three hundred carefully cared for trees of different varieties - from Istrian black olive and bjelica, through pendolino, frantoio and leccino, to buža, oblica, cepresina and ascolana. Of particular value are about forty century-old Istrian black olive trees, true guardians of tradition and heritage. The combination of traditional cultivation and modern methods produces extra virgin olive oil from our olives.
Our apiaries and olive groves are not just rows of beehives and olive trees – they are a place of peace, natural balance and family devotion. Every jar of honey and every drop of oil is a testament to the love, patience and care we put into production.
