In the north of Istria, in the heart of Buzet, there is a hundred-year-old cellar. When you step inside, it feels like you are returning to some bygone, more peaceful times. You will be embraced by the warmth of the space and the friendliness of the people who work here. You will be greeted by the irresistible scents of herbs and spices from which exclusive brandies and liqueurs are made.
Based on their grandmothers' recipes, the Aura family distillery produces 29 different herbal and fruit brandies and liqueurs, 4 types of gin and 9 types of jams. The ingredients used to make these top-quality products are hand-picked in areas far from settlements and roads, on the slopes of Ćićarija, a mountain that looms over Buzet, the island of Cres, but also in grandma's and mom's gardens, and then transformed with a lot of love into exclusive products worth enjoying.
Visitors to the distillery have the opportunity to learn about the entire production process, from the maceration of herbs and wild fruits, through the cooking of Karbun gin and the famous Aura Teranin, to the bottling, labeling and packaging of the products. The distillery also houses a shop with all of Aura's delicacies, all of which you can taste.
