The Černeka family inherited the culture of production from their ancestors, and has a long tradition of growing olives in the Sovinjak area near Buzet.
The olive groves are grown on terraced terrains of marl and sandstone at 210-290 meters above sea level on the northernmost continental points of the northern Istrian peninsula, where they thrive.
We process olives using advanced technology in our own oil mill “Torkop”. The fruits are harvested in early October and processed on the same day using the cold process. This paves the way for domestic olive oil to receive awards at the highest level. The olives are grown in a traditional way without treatment.
The Černeka family tasting room is decorated in the authentic Istrian style in stone and wood.
Černeka extra virgin olive oil has been awarded gold medals at domestic and foreign exhibitions for years.
